Credit

I understand that when credit is due, credit shall be given. However, I'm a little unsure that this credit is appropriate. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been a stalwart player in this years election. He's been a HUGE advocate for Mitt Romney and he spoke very eloquently at the RNC in August. He's clearly a leader in the Republican political party. So why then, would he tout President Obama so highly when the election is only 6 days away. Yes, I understand Obama's been a go-to person since Hurricane Sandy came in to play, but to me, it just doesn't make sense. Perhaps it's because I feel that even though Obama's been one-upping himself with this whole natural disaster. I just feel that Governor Christie could have been a little less chummy with the enemy. On my last eNewsletter I asked everyone whether they thought federal welfare spending was too high. I wanted to share the results of that survey with you. 

86% of survey takers believe the Federal Government spends too much on welfare.

Alexis de Tocqueville famously wrote of America that “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.”  Last week, it was reported by the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service  that welfare spending in the United States has jumped 32% in the past four years.  Federal government spending combined with total state spending on 83 different welfare programs totaled an astounding $1.028 trillion in 2011.

America is at a crossroads. Will we continue our current trend towards fiscal collapse? Or, do we pull ourselves up by the bootstraps, reduce the size of government and the role it plays in U.S. citizens’ everyday lives, and allow our great nation to regain its posture in the world?  Please read more here.

On Wednesday, Reuters  news service obtained emails that showed the Obama Administration knew within hours of the deadly September 11th attack in Libya of an Islamic militant group taking credit for the act of terror.

Co-hosting the D.R.E.A.M. Job Fair

 

This week, I co-hosted the D.R.E.A.M. Job Fair at the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff. This event was part of the national Disability Rehabilitation Employment Awareness Month to bring local job-seekers and nearly 50 employers together.

Fighting for Water in Flagstaff

 

On Thursday, Mayor Nabours of the City of Flagstaff and I enjoyed glasses of water from the city's newly fixed Inner Basin drinking water pipeline. If this pipeline was not repaired and the city continued to experience drought conditions, the city would have been faced with potential water rationing.

It was a pleasure to work alongside the City of Flagstaff as we coordinated with the wide variety of federal and state agencies to fix this water pipeline.

 This is a friend of mine. He and three friends started it to help fund trips for people to go to Ohio and help the Romney campaign there. They originally were just going themselves and thought, “Hey, let’s throw the idea out there and see if anyone else wants to go.” The response has been overwhelming. They are up to 40 confirmed and waiting for donations to help more go! They raised $6000 in one day. The local media here caught wind of it and they are going to follow them on the trip. They have been in contact with Romney’s campaign in Ohio who have staked out certain areas for them to canvas. "Mitmentum" seems to be sweeping the country.

 

Kaela and I are thinking of going this weekend to Nevada to do the same thing.

The clock is still ticking

We are now only about 10 days out from election day 2012. I don't know about many of you, but I am getting anxious and I hate being anxious. There are some good figures out there for Romney...yesterday he reached the covenanted "50%" mark on a national poll. It is unclear how many voters are still "undecided" and with Obama's new smuttish advertisements, it's going to be all out war over the next week and a half.

I received the following email from my aunt in Northern California yesterday and while I'm sure many of you have already seen it, heard it, or thought it, I wanted to post it in the hopes that it might just help someone make up their mind.

Could 2012 be America 's Last Presidential Election?

I've asked this question to a number of people and most of them respond as if I were crazy. They tell me that this is America , land of the free, and that there will always be elections. I tell them that we are no longer the land of the free and that if Obama gets 
Re-elected in 2012 that this just may be America 's last election.

In the past three years, the Obama administration has been very carefully crafting the nation for a political take over by his Marxist regime and this isn't just my opinion.

Popular radio talk show host (of the Savage Nation on the Talk Radio Network), Michael Savage, is the son of Russian immigrants and is very familiar with Soviet and European history. Savage warned his listeners this week saying, "I have to tell you that if this man, God forbid, is the next president of the United States, we're going to be living in something along the lines of - people say - Europe. I don't believe it's going to be like Europe - I think it will be closer to Chavez's South American dictatorship.

"This is the most corrupt, incompetent, dangerous tyrannical administration in American history. It's not politics as usual. It's not just Democrats versus Republicans. Obama has a long history of being at odds with American values and with America itself and the core principles of this country. They don't want government-sponsored opinions. They only want government-sponsored 'Pravda.' That's exactly what the government-media complex tells you on a daily basis - nothing but the government-media complex party line. Pay attention! Your freedom may be at stake!

Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum told a small group of people in an Iowa coffee house that "Barack Obama is not incompetent, ladies and gentleman. He knows exactly what he's doing and why he's doing it. He sees America differently than you see America ."

[Obama] has gone out of his way to divide this country in a way I haven't seen since the Great Depression when Franklin Roosevelt went around to divide his country. That's his hero. What makes America great [in Obama's mind] is that the government takes money from somebody and gives it to somebody else. No, that's what makes America , France .

"With his control over the Executive and Judicial branches of the government, the stage is set for a complete takeover of the government. Think about it! Since taking office, instead of helping the economy, Obama has purposely escalated the economic crisis by plunging the country into unprecedented debt. He has a number of programs that are designed to go into effect in January 2013, just in time for his second term of office. The economic burden and increased taxes on everyone will be enough to cause the final economic collapse of the country. As soon as that happens, Obama declares Martial Law and assumes dictatorial control of the nation.

The Department of Justice has already been subverting federal laws to strip us of a number of freedoms. The Supreme Court and many of the other federal courts have been seeded with socialistic liberal judges that will rule in Obama's favor on virtually anything, thus ending constitutional rule and law.

He's already changing the face of America 's military. Allowing homosexuals to openly serve along with changing the retirement program is causing many conservative military leaders to resign commissions and leave the military. Some Pentagon officials are also noting that an increase in the enlistment of radical Muslims into the US military where they get all the training they need on weapons and defense systems. We have no idea how many of them there are in the armed forces or in what positions they may hold.

Obama has been wielding executive powers this past year as if he were already a dictator. When Congress is not doing his bidding, he simply bypasses them and uses an executive order to accomplish it anyway. This has set the stage for his disbandment of Congress. He would not be the first world leader to take control of a nation and disband the legislative branch of government.

He has been effectively using the media to anesthetize the public to the dangers he poses. Like a patient being prepped for surgery, people are numb to the changes and won't have a clue what took place until they wake up in recovery and realize that free America has been removed and replaced with a regime that may parallel those of Stalin, Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, Chavez and Castro.

For the sake of our children and grandchildren, I earnestly pray that we are spared from what seems a certain future and that Obama is overwhelmingly defeated in 2012. Otherwise, heaven help us.

modern society is lacking is morals. Many people are moral people, but they do not act in a way that is ethical, leaving people to believe they have no morals and no ethics. Someone may hear the terms moral and ethical and think they know what they are, when in actuality, the do not. Per Webster's New World Dictionary:

morals: (1) relating to, dealing with, or capable of making the distinction between, right and wrong in conduct (2) relating to, serving to teach, or in accordance with, the principles of right and wrong

The Final Countdown...

Well, as of today we've got 2 weeks until the election is here. Phew...here's to hoping we can hang on AND make some huge changes in the Federal Administration and perhaps, even some at the local level, as well as those in between. I know that the following email has been circulated before, but I think it's important enough to tack up here on the blog. Also, the final email post is a TRUE STORY! This is what actually happened on AirTran Flight 297 from Atlanta to Houston...horrifyingly scary and I'm sooo glad I wasn't on that plane! It only goes to show the things that happen, but don't thoroughly get reported.

Finally Someone Asked Him The Question.
I FOUND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THE AMERICAN PRESS HAD THE Balls TO ASK THE QUESTION.

FINALLY SOMEONE ASKED HIM THE QUESTION! ON "ABC-TV" DURING THE "NETWORK SPECIAL ON HEALTH CARE".... OBAMA WAS ASKED: "MR. THERE WAS A STONEY SILENCE AS OBAMA IGNORED THE QUESTION AND CHOSE NOT TO ANSWER IT. IN ADDITION, A NUMBER OF SENATORS WERE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS. "WE WILL THINK ABOUT IT." AND THEY DID. IT WAS ANNOUNCED TODAY ON THE NEWS THAT THE "KENNEDY HEALTH CARE BILL" WAS WRITTEN INTO THE NEW HEALTH CARE REFORM INITIATIVE ENSURING THAT CONGRESS WILL BE 100% EXEMPT. SO, THIS GREAT NEW HEALTH CARE PLAN THAT IS GOOD FOR YOU AND ME IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR OBAMA, HIS FAMILY OR CONGRESS. WE (THE AMERICAN PUBLIC) NEED TO STOP THIS PROPOSED DEBACLE ASAP THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG. PERSONALLY, I CAN ONLY ACCEPT A UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE OVERHAUL THAT EXTENDS TO EVERYONE. Tedd happened to be on the AirTran Flight 297, from Atlanta to Houston. Here's his report :   "One week ago, I went to Ohio on business and to see my father. On Tuesday, the 17th, I returned home. If you read the papers the 18th you may have seen a blurb about an Air Tran flight was canceled from Atlanta to Houston due to a man who refused to get off of his cell phone before take-off. The story was only on Fox News. That was NOT what really happened. I was seated in 1st class coming home. Eleven Muslim men got on the plane in full Muslim attire. Two of them sat in 1st class and the rest seated themselves throughout the plane, in coach class, all the way to the back. As the plane taxied out to the runway, the stewardesses gave the safety spiel that we are all so familiar with.   At that time, one of the men, in 1st class, got on his cell and called one of his companions back in coach. He proceeded to talk on the phone in Arabic very loudly and very, very aggressively. This activity took the 1st stewardess out of action for she repeatedly told the man that cell phones were not permitted at that time. He ignored her as if she were not there. The man, who answered the phone back in the coach section, did the same and this took out the 2nd stewardess. Further back in the plane, at the same time, two younger Muslims, one in the back on the aisle, and one sitting in front of him by the window, began to show footage of a porno video they had taped the night before. They were very loud about it. The 3rd stewardess informed the two men that they were not to have any electronic devices on at this time. One of the men said "shut up infidel dog!" The stewardess attempted to take the camcorder and the Muslim began to scream in her face in Arabic.    At that exact moment, all eleven of the men got up and started to walk throughout the cabin. I guess that because of the noise, the flight crew must have decided that there was something amiss and changed the plane's directions to head back to the terminal. The commotion and noise was reaching a feverish pitch, and at this point I had had enough! I got up and started towards the back of 1st class, when I heard a voice behind me, from another Texan twice my size, say "I got your back." Then I grabbed the man, who had been on the cell phone, by the arm and said "You WILL sit down in your seat or you WILL be thrown from this plane!" As I "led" him around me to take his seat, the fellow Texan grabbed him by the back of his neck and his waist and headed him back to his seat. I then grabbed the 2nd man and said, "You WILL do the same!"   He protested loudly, but my adrenaline was flowing now and he was going to go also. Just as I escorted him forward, the plane stopped, the doors opened and three TSA agents and four police officers entered the cabin. Myself and my new Texas friend were told to cease and desist for they had the situation under control.  I was quite happy to oblige actually. There was still some sort of commotion in the back, but within moments, all eleven Muslim men were escorted off the plane. The TSA agents then had their luggage unloaded. We talked about the occurrence and were in disbelief that it had happened.  Then suddenly, the door opened again and in walked all eleven Muslim men! Stone faced, eyes front and robotic, (the only way I can describe it) they were reseated. The stewardess from the back had been in tears and when she saw the men, she was having NONE of it! Since I was up front, I heard and saw the whole ordeal. She told the TSA agents that there was NO WAY she was staying on the plane with the Muslim men. The agent told her that they had searched the men and were going through their luggage with a fine tooth comb. However, nothing had been found and that the men were allowed to proceed on to Houston.   The captain and co-captain came out of the cockpit and told the agent, "We and our crew will not fly this plane!" After a word or two, the entire crew, luggage in tow, left the plane. Five minutes later, the cabin door opened again and a whole new crew walked on. Again, this was where I had had enough! I got up and asked the TSA agent, "What the --- is going on? I was told to take my seat. The airlines and TSA were sorry for the delay and we would be home shortly. I said "I'm getting off this plane". The stewardess sternly told me that she could not allow me to get off. Now I'm really mad! I said "I am a grown man who bought this ticket, who's time is mine with a family at home and I am going through that door, or I'm going through that door with you under my arm, but I AM going through that door!"   And then I heard a voice behind me say "So am I!" Then everyone behind us started to get up and say the same thing. Within two minutes, I was walking off that plane where I was met by more TSA agents who asked me to write a statement about the incident. I had five hours to kill at this point waiting for the next flight to Houston, so why the hell not give them my statement. Due to the amount of people who got off that flight, it was canceled. I was supposed to be in Houston at 6 PM, but I finally got there at 12:30 AM. If you don't believe this, look up the date and then Flight 297 from Atlanta to Houston.  If this wasn't a terrorism dry run, I don't know what one is. The terrorists wanted to see how TSA would handle it, how the crew would handle it, and how the passengers would handle it. I'm telling this to you because I want you to know. The threat IS real. I saw it with my own eyes." Tedd Petruna

At 81, almost single-handedly created the University of Virginia and served as its first president.
At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence along with John Adams.
Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, his laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. Jefferson really knew his stuff. A voice from the past to lead us in the future:

Has anyone ever heard from the media a word about the "October Surprise" that we hear about through the grapevine?

This morning, on Fox and Friends, Dick Morris was the guest and they were discussing the Benghazi affair, the 166 cables from Amb. Stevens and others begging for some security there, the last one from Stevens on the very day of the attacks.  One of the hosts asked if this might be the much discussed - in conservative circles - "October Surprise?"  We have seen this ploy played out by Democrats three other times in recent elections when Dems were a bit behind.  It has turned two elections - one to Clinton and one to Obama, although that one was pretty assured anyway.  So what did Dick Morris answer?

There is an Iranian infiltrator who has been on some TV news programs in disguise and shadow who has pretty successfully exposed Iranian info in the past.  He came out yesterday (Friday) and dropped the bombshell that Obama will announce in the last week of October that he has secured an agreement with the Iranians that they will suddenly and for no apparent reason stop enriching uranium!  They will make a big splash about signing an agreement... perhaps even with Ahmadinejad announcing the signing of the agreement to all the world. 

Maybe the UN will come out and award these two some tickets to Disneyland!  The Iranians need Obama to be re-elected because they know he will do nothing for another four years and they will be home free and have nuclear capability by the end of that time.  Katy bar the door after that!!!!

Obama is expected to announce, with incredible fanfare, that indeed, diplomacy did work and the world is now safe from a nuclear Iran!  Israel had it all wrong!!  When asked if Ahmadinejad would actually honor such an agreement, the answer was, yes for maybe 5 minutes!  It will simply be one more dangerous Democrat attempt to trick the American people into voting for Obama!!  All's right with the world!

Admittedly, there is no proof at this time. Dems don't announce these tricks in advance! However, we can dilute any effect of such a ploy, should it happen, by warning our conservatives well in advance.  So please feel free to pass this along to anyone you want.  Maybe it will turn out to be a rumor.  But maybe not!!!

One thing we know: Obama will never go quietly into the night!!!
