LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
THE GOVERNOR'S TEAM WAS HERE, DID THEY SUCCEED THIS TIME?
(...To gain support for Expanded Medicaid.)
For
some reason our Republican Governor sent her "A team" here to our
Valley last Thursday, May 2nd, to express her "financial reasons"
to support her non conservative, progressive desire to Expand Medicaid.
If Medicaid is expanded it will assist the Obama Administration in it's
frenzied attempt to make Obamacare fully implemented.
How
will that happen, you say? Expanded Medicaid is one of two legs needed
by Obama to make his wish come true of socializing our state and
nation's medical system. So far, it appears, he isn't making people
happy as they realize their take home pay has been reduced by
increased taxes, medical restrictions have occurred, perhaps they
have had to find a new doctor, or perhaps they have lost their medical
insurance all together.
And
just think, Obamacare isn't fully implemented until 2014! But, remember
our dear friend Nancy Pelosi told us it had to be fully implemented to
know what it contained.
It
is understandable that Obama would want to socialize our medical
system, most socialists do, but why our Republican Governor?
The
Brewer's "A team" came here at the behest of our Graham County
Republican Chair, it appears. And again the same question could be asked
as of him, why?
Look who supports Brewer in her attempt:
1. All the Democratic Legislators, except one or two.
2. All the states Liberals, both in and out of politics.
3. At least two or
three RINO Republican State Senators, who almost always vote with the Democrats.
Look who is opposing Brewer in her attempt:
1. 70% of all Republican voters as noted in recent Polls.
2. All of the Republican Legislative Districts (LDs) in the State.
3. All Republican Senators with the exceptions of those noted in number three above.
4.
Almost all of the State County Republican Committees, but one. Which
County Republican Committee isn't opposing Brewer? See the Note below:
NOTE: It
is worth understanding that our County Republican Chairman says our
County Republican Committee (all elected Republican PCs), and
all his Executive Committee is said to be Neutral in this debate.
Really, seeing that when most actually express themselves, they are
against implementation of Expanded Medicaid. It
is rumored, also, that some of his Executive Committee may be against
expansion.
So why the Big Ongoing Debate in our State over Expansion?
Brewer,
and her supporters as listed above, say that we can't afford not to
take the Federal money "because it will be good for our State", and "if
we don't take it, some other state will." That is pretty much a slippery
slope when one contemplates the money isn't available to support the
states to implement this monstrosity for Obama. Oh, he could borrow it
from China for awhile longer, or the Fed could crank up the printing
presses again. But even then, does one believe the Federal Government,
and more recently the Obama Administration, to make good on many things?
If the Administration defaults, our State will be on the hook to pay
for this out our now meager state funds, which of course are our tax
dollars. Remember when our outgoing Governor
Napolitano (D) dropped this type financial problem on the state?
Those
opposing Expansion, as listed above, say the money from Obama isn't
there. This comes from our own Washington US House
Delegation, personally, to Brewer.
If
implemented, it will add at least an additional 400,000 people, legal
and illegal, to the Medicaid rolls and will double the funds required.
When the cost doubles, it will require up to 40% of our total state
budget. That 40% number is about one and a half billion dollars. What
happens to our State when the Obama Administration stops sending "our
tax money" back to us to pay for our Medicaid bill? Can we say State
Bankruptcy?
Is it an honest humanitarian effort to
promise that which we can't provide? This empty promise, because it is
purely political, will cause chaos in our streets as the "trigger",
Brewer says she has in
place, kicks in and terminates Medicaid for 400,000+ people, when the
Obama Administration stops paying.
That is the Big Debate.
Who will win? I'm being told that our Legislature has placed a balanced
Budget on the Governor's desk for her signature. I'm also told she will
not sign the Budget because it doesn't contain provisions to Expand
Medicaid.
Brewer's "A team" came to get support, and the team was turned away by our brave County Leaders.
Now
its up to WE THE PEOPLE! Tell the governor to sign the balanced budget,
as is required by our State Constitution, and listen to her
constituents. Cowboy Up, Governor!
